Barron- Kevin John.        Labour            23,821-Elected

Eddy- Bethan Sion.          Conservative  19,939

Hunter- Lee James.          UKIP               3,704

Martin- Paul Neville.        Green                869

Pruszyinski- Katie Mary  Lib-Dem         1,155

Majority 3,882.   Turnout 65.87%.

No real surprises in this constituency except Barron’s majority has been cut from 7,297 he gained in 2015.

    The problem in a constituency where Tory,Lib Dem and UKIP candidates stand against a Labour candidate is the anti Labour vote is split.
    In this instance the total number of Tory, Lib Dem and UKIP votes was 24,978 which is 977 more than the 23,821 votes for Barron.
    It is obvious the Rother Valley constituency is now a marginal seat and it is a safe bet 70 year old Sir Kevin Barron will retire either before or at the next GE.
