Setting the Council Tax for 2016/17

Leader of RMBC Cllr. Chris Read gave details of the levels of Council Tax for the next financial year. This includes the new 2% Adult Social Care ‘precept’ encouraged by the government and included both the Police and Crime Commissioner’s and the Fire and Rescue Authority’s precepts as well as parish council precepts.

The Council Tax base (2016/17) for the whole Council Area is calculated on the total number of Band ‘D’ Equivalent Properties which is 67,149.57.

All the information and calculations can be found here:     Pages 13 – 20.

Owners of Band ‘D’ homes in Woodsetts pay more Council Tax than equivalent properties in Anston.

  1. This design is spectacular! You most certainly know how to keep a
reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog
(well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really loved what you had
to say, and more than that, how you presented it.

    Too cool!
