Unlawful activities in the Parish Hall car park

Monday 9th May at 7:30 pm two cars;

Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 petrol. YR54 EXN (Black) and a VW Polo GTI 1.4 petrol. KP11 BNE (White) were seen and photographed throwing litter from their cars and smoking ‘substances’. The drivers/passengers have been seen in and out of each other’s vehicles, passing unknown items between their cars. Their activities were also captured on film by the Security Contractor who spoke to these idiots and sent them on their way.

On a previous occasion-22nd April- these two were joined by another driver in a Yellow car (VRN unknown)- sometimes there’s also another black car- and this group verbally abused and threatened a lady who asked them to pick up their litter. On most evenings between 6-9:30pm these youths take great delight in inappropriate driving in the Parish Hall car park, throwing litter and abusing people.

If you know who they are then get in touch with Sergeant Sharon Hulley at South Yorkshire Police (Sharon .Hulley@southyorks.pnn.police.uk.

The Parish Hall car park and surrounding land are there for the community to enjoy, not for people off their heads on drugs to use it as a racetrack or a litter dump and threaten decent people with physical violence.

If you can help then do so. This is unacceptable behaviour by a few morons who are a disgrace to their families and to Anston.

I notice the weekend keyboard warriors are active once again.
Not one of them has anything constructive to add to the debates choosing instead to spend their time sniping.
The Moderator has got the patience of a saint IMV. I would not appreciate spending my time viewing silly and pointless comments and deciding whether to publish them.
As for this blog’s credibility; 45,000 + hits from across the globe in less than two years says more about the blog content and presentation than daft comments.
It was this blog that exposed the double dealing and duplicity of the previous administration not the keyboard warriors who offer nothing but negativity.
More strength to your elbow sir!

Maybe if the parish council had not slashed the budget for security there would still be a deterrent. They were warned that this would happen.

Maybe if you understood what you were talking about it might help.
The Security contractor does not start work at 6pm, his working hours were negotiated by the previous administration. The parish council reduced the number of patrols not ‘slashed’ the budget for security as you erroneously state.

Well that is your interpretation. Reducing the security budget by £1000 is a bit if a slash to me. Maybe if you understood what you were talking about whichman you may gain credibility.

As you’re posting under a false ID and can only pretend you understand what was written about the security contractor you have zero credibility.

It is a sign of the times when young people with nothing better to do resort to smoking substances.
Whether or not these are considered ‘recreational’ drugs is irrelevant to the main points of this article.
Everyone who uses the parish grounds and dog walks is entitled to do so without having to see purposely thrown litter or being subjected to verbal abuse. To address the question asked by the previous poster about the security company employed by APC it is my understanding they are not contracted to work in the early evenings nor have they been required to do so since they were first employed many years ago.
Residents should not hesitate to either ask these young people to move on and if they are threatened or abused then ‘phone the police, these youngsters are not so ‘brave’ when police officers ask questions.

I have certainly have not defended these activities as you suggested it is common sense to let the authorities deal with the offence it is quite clear that there is a problem

Nobody is suggesting or has suggested the police are not aware of this problem.
The mere fact of publishing the make, models and VRN’s of these drug users cars will hopefully bring it to the attention of a wider audience some of whom will have the decency to report them if they see these drivers in any open spaces acting like the idiots they are.

Don’t think anston parish council watch should be making comments the information should be sent to the police for them to deal with although it is unacceptable and anti social behaviour it clearly is a police matter
