Jacqui Collins and CSE

RMBC’s Legal Services and Monitoring Officer-Jacqui Collins-was appointed in 2012. It is inconceivable that nothing in the form of any minutes,agendas or reports crossed her desk between 2012-2014 concerning the CSE scandal in Rotherham (Which has seen the local Labour party go into meltdown)  Ms.Collins has so far refused to comment or confirm what she knew about CSE or whether she had any discussions about CSE in Rotherham with former Council Leader Roger Stone, Council CEO Martin Kimber, ex PCC Shaun Wright and disgraced ex Childrens Officer Joyce Thacker. Who is she protecting?

It is worth pointing out that if Ms.Collins had said she supported the Tories or UKIP when she was considered for the post she would not have been appointed. Ms.Collins is a qualified Solicit0r and the Solicitors Code of Conduct says-(in part), You must:

    • act with integrity; not allow your independence to be compromised; behave in a way that maintains the trust the public places in you and in the provision of legal services;
    • http://www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/handbook/code/content.page
    • Is Jacqui Collins a fit and proper person to head RMBC’s Legal Services?

  1. Phil Sheldon says:

    Until 3 years ago I was a Labour supporter and now I’ve read what lengths the Labour party in Rotherham go to in their attempts to pretend ‘they know nothing’about the CSE scandal is sickening. As far as I’m concerned Miliband is a failure and the Labour party in Rotherham is finished. Collins should have been before Vaz’s Select Committee and forced to reveal what she knows. She is a disgrace to her office and to the people of Rotherham and IMV her silence condemns her. She should be sacked as should Lakin, Burton and St.John for refusing to admit what they know.

  2. What trust could anyone outside the Labour Party have in Jacqueline Collins.
    She is over keen to act on lies from Labour Party Councillors both parish and borough in pursuit of Independent Councillor Stuart Thornton. Look at the signed Statement of Truth I provided her with in respect of shocking abuse of an elderly parishioner by Iain St.John. What did she do about that?
